CUSTODIAL WORKER – PART TIME

POSITION: CUSTODIAL WORKER – PART TIME

Hourly Rate: $14.00

JOB DUTIES:

Performs various custodial/cleaning maintenance tasks within park areas to include rental facilities, park facility restrooms, park offices; sweeps, mops and cleans floors; cleans sinks, toilets, countertops; stocks toilet paper, hand towels, hand soaps; removes trash and replaces trash bags; dusts and cleans furniture, office equipment, walls, windows, vacuums floors; performs routine preventative maintenance to Park District facilities; power washing outdoor rental facilities; stripping, waxing, buffing finished floors with power equipment; painting walls and equipment; picks up litter in park facilities and areas; maintains park facility grounds in and around restrooms, rental facilities and offices; assists in snow removal with hand tools and salt spreading on parking areas and sidewalks, steps, entrance ways; greets visitors, guests and general public; answers general questions and directs visitors; provides rental facility information to guests and general public; attends training and seminars, as directed; meets all job safety requirements and all applicable PERPP safety standards that pertain to essential functions; demonstrates regular and predictable attendance; may be required to work extra hours, evening hours, weekends and/or holidays as necessary; due to nature of job, the Custodial Worker must be available to return to work after normal work hours or on weekends and/or holidays when called to do so, to handle custodial and/or safety issues that arise; performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of secondary education or equivalent (high school diploma or GED); or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess a valid State of Ohio Driver’s License. Must remain insurable under the Park District’s vehicle insurance policy.
