Join us for a series of eye-opening talks on a different topic each month. We’ll bring in guest lecturers to discuss nature, history, and more. Come mingle, share some refreshments and learn! Lectures are held on the second Wednesday of each month starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Pattison Park Lodge. Presentations are geared towards adults/teens and are free and open to all.

Upcoming Lectures:

January 11, 2023: Coyotes in our Community by Shannon Russel Pennington

Learn about one of Ohio’s most misunderstood mammals, the eastern coyote, with Warren County Park District staff naturalist Shannon Russell Pennington at this FREE event.

If you have seen a coyote in the area, you’re not alone! Are these animals a real threat to people and pets? What should you do if you see one? Should we be doing more to eradicate this species from our community?

If you’ve never seen a coyote up close, you can check out a taxidermy coyote mount and pelt at this program. All ages are welcome to this PowerPoint presentation followed by audience Q&A.

February 8, 2023: Homebrewing for Beginners by Jeff Graff

March 8, 2023: Helping Orphaned and Injured Wildlife by Rob Ligas
