Spring River Paddle

May 17th

Arrival to park: 1:45 PM, Paddle Adventure: 2 PM

Location: Chilo Lock 34 Park

Join us for a canoe adventure along the Ohio River! We will be on the river for about an hour and will paddle upriver about 0.5 miles. Dependent on water levels, we may enter the estuary in Crooked Run Nature Preserve. If unable to enter Crooken Run, we will loop back at the entrance to the estuary to return to the docks. We plan to watch for aquatic wildlife and enjoy the serenity of one of the last remaining undeveloped backwaters in Ohio. Please be aware there may be other watercraft on the river, including large barges. No coolers, large bags, or drinks other than water (or gatorade) are permitted on the canoes.

All equipment is provided- Canoes, Paddles, Lifevest/jackets. Ages 12 and up only. We only have 2 person canoes, any single canoers will be paired together.
